By accessing or using BachataWorld (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Service

BachataWorld is a social platform that connects bachata dancers, event organizers, and dance schools worldwide. The Platform allows users to discover events, classes, and community groups related to bachata dancing. We provide the platform as-is and make no guarantees about the availability, accuracy, or quality of third-party content.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account using one of our supported authentication providers (Google, Microsoft, or Facebook). You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Not share your account with others

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in prohibited activities.

4. User Roles and Responsibilities

Users may request different roles on the Platform:

• Dancers: Can browse events, classes, and community groups
• Organizers: Can create and manage event listings
• Schools: Can create and manage class listings
• Artists: Can create artist profiles

Role assignments are at our discretion. We may require verification for certain roles. Contact hello@jabata.live to request role changes.

5. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of content you submit to the Platform (events, classes, images, descriptions). By submitting content, you grant BachataWorld a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content on the Platform.

You represent that:

• You own or have rights to the content you submit
• Your content does not infringe on third-party rights
• Your content is accurate and not misleading
• Your content complies with all applicable laws and regulations

6. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Post illegal, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Spam or send unsolicited communications
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform or other accounts
• Use automated systems to scrape or collect data
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

7. Event and Class Listings

Organizers and schools are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy of event/class information (dates, times, locations, prices)
• Compliance with local laws and regulations
• Obtaining necessary permits and insurance
• Handling ticket sales, refunds, and customer service
• The safety and conduct of their events/classes

BachataWorld is not responsible for cancelled events, disputes between organizers and attendees, or any incidents occurring at listed events or classes.

8. Intellectual Property

The BachataWorld name, logo, and all platform features, designs, and code are the property of BachataWorld. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission. All trademarks and service marks belong to their respective owners.

9. Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE:

• The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content
• That the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free
• The quality or safety of events or classes listed
• That the Platform will meet your specific requirements

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BACHATAWORLD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS, IF ANY.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BachataWorld, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your content, or your violation of these terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately, but these terms will continue to apply to any prior use.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved through good faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new terms on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
